Well Completion Reports
Complete archive of Well Completion Reports for all wells drilled in the Arafura, Bonaparte, Browse, Canning, Carnarvon and Perth Basins.
The reports are provided as a single pdf file, containing both the basic and interpretive data volumes submitted by the well operator and the various contractor reports, such as, mud logging, VSP, MWD, drilling fluids, rig positioning and site survey reports.. The combined report is comprehensively bookmarked so information can be easily identified and retrieved.
Also provided with the Well Completion Reports are well log displays (tiff / pdf / pds formats) and any other associated digital data.
Well Logs
Wireline field log and processed log displays, when available, are included with the Well Completion Report or alternatively the high quality log datasets produced by Occam Technology can be supplied
Seismic Data
Seismic data can be provided in SEG Y or work station formats and as scanned images or hard copies of the original sections.
Seismic Interpretation Reports
Seismic Interpretation Reports typically contain time and / or depth structure maps and a ‘prospect and leads’ section. They can also include regional and permit geological evaluations. These reports are available for most areas of the Carnarvon, Browse, Bonaparte, Arafura, Canning and Perth Basins.
Permit Reports
Permit Reports generally include any geological / geophysical studies and data reviews, which may have been carried by the permit holders as a work commitment. Annual Reports usually contain summaries of the work programmes carried out in the year.
Analyses Reports
Analyses Reports represent new analytical work which has been carried out some time after the drilling of a well. The work often involves new sampling of cuttings and cores held by the government authorities. The information contained in these reports is additional to the post drill analyses contained in the Well Completion Reports.
Digital Well Log Datasets
High quality digital well log datasets produced by Occam Technology are available through Exploration Data Services by means of a longstanding marketing agreement.
The datasets are subject to rigorous quality control procedures in which common data / formatting problems and errors are removed or corrected and, where appropriate, log curves from different runs are merged and depth aligned. The aim is to provide the client with a dataset which can be used straightaway. Further details of the data quality control procedures are available on request.
Wherever possible the log curves are derived from the original digital field data. For older wells where digital data was not produced or is no longer available the curves have been digitised from 1:200 logs.
Datasets are available for virtually all open file Australian onshore and offshore wells.
Acreage Release Data Catalogues
The Australian Government tends to have an annual Offshore Petroleum Exploration Acreage release and for each release Exploration Data Services produces a data catalogue, which summarizes available open file data for Western Australia and Northern Territory areas open for bidding
Data Searches
Exploration Data Services offers a comprehensive advisory service on the availability of open file data for any well, area or subject. This is a complimentary service and utilizes our considerable in-house data archive and the various state & commonwealth databases
Composite Well Log & Mud Log database
This database consists of Composite Well Logs and Mud Logs extracted from the Well Completion Reports and provides an overview of geological and logging data for a well, such data typically includes:-
- Formation Tops
- Wireline Log curves
- Gas, ROP & WOB curves
- Lithology column & cuttings descriptions
- Cored intervals and SWC points
- Drilling engineering data
